I have been a Microsoft .NET developer now for close to 10 years, and wow does time fly. In that time I've worked for big and small companies, and additionally worked as a consultant on the side. I sometimes take my skills for granted, but I realize it takes time and hard work to get good at a profession / craft.
So I'm currently exploring the possibility of putting together Microsoft .NET workshops in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The details still aren't fully flushed, but these would be paid workshop sessions.
Some of my thoughts right now as to the types of workshops:
- Most likely specific to a subject matter : ASP.NET MVC, RavenDB, Unit Testing, etc.
- Some workshops might be problem solving workshops: One on One / Team help. Would be similar to consulting.
- Some workshops might be exercise workshops, where we try and build a solution from the ground up and work through the entire process. Think mini-hackathons.
- The workshops might range from 1 to 3 hours in length.
Would anybody be interested in these kind of workshops and what would you like to see in a workshop environment? I have a lot of knowledge kicking around in my head, and would love to impart it to others :)
